Artist's Statement/Quote



In the mid-eighties and early nineties Clarence worked as a commercial artist and illustrator for several book publishers, the Baptist Sunday School Board, Scripture Press  Publishing, Victor Books, Augsburg’s  Fortress Publishing and the United  Methodist Publishing Co.  Norman Rockwell being his greatest influence; He is also influenced by wildlife artists such as Robert Bateman and Carl Brender.

Stewart was been chosen twice for his designs of the Alabama Waterfowl Stamp. His paintings have been chosen for the Best of Show in various Art Competitions in the last few years. He art is collected by such clients as the Alabama Wildlife Federation, Alabama Ducks Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited Chapters nation wide. His  Christian &  Inspirational  Art has been  published and  distributed through Northwestern Products and Dickson’s Gift. He is currently working with Hadley House Publishing and Licensing Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
